Keogh Plan

A Keogh Plan is retirement plan that a self employed individual can open on his or her behalf. Most self employed individuals do not have a retirment account, this is an excellent way to put money aside for one's retirement. It's bascially an IRA, but one can deposit much more than an IRA account. An excellent retirement company such as Vanguard or Fidelity can help. A Keogh plan allows earnings to grow tax deferred until the money is withdrawn from the account.
